SASKIA CARTER

Saskia Carter was born in London.  She is studying a BA in Fine Art at Oxford Brooke’s University.  She works mostly with photography but also employs textiles in her work sometimes sewing on her photographs.  Her practice investigates the world around her.  Her inspiration was taking portraits of people, with their consent, in and around the street in urban environments. She has a passion for interacting with people and takes reportage style photographs.

During lockdown Saskia made a lot of work for the Artists Support pledge a culture and economy in support of artists and makers led by artist Matthew Burrows during the pandemic.

Her photograph being exhibited at the Summer Show was taken when travelling in New York.
